Sony PlayStation 6: Everything we know so far

Sony introduced the PlayStation 5 during the coronavirus pandemic, and the first sales period was marked by a shortage caused by problems with the availability of components.

Over time, the situation improved, and while the Japanese company is working on an improved version of the five, there are more and more rumors about a completely new model – the PlayStation 6.

According to some previous expert comments on this market, it could also be the last Sony video game console, as they may be replaced by cloud services in the future.

Previous rumors about the PlayStation 6 said that this model could go on sale between 2028 and 2030, while the latest information published on the website Tech Times mentions that it could be even earlier – 2027.

If we look at the life cycle of the last two generations, it was seven years, which is another argument for the rumors that mention the release of the new generation in 2027 or 2028.

There's still a long time until then, so it's hard to predict what kind of hardware the console might have, but according to rumors circulating online, it looks like Sony will continue its successful partnership with AMD.

Also, given that the trend in the market is towards fully digital consoles, it is expected that all six will also have a high-capacity SSD - a model with at least 1 TB of storage space is mentioned. /Telegraph/
