LVV MP Ilir Kërçeli has stated that the continued failure to constitute the Assembly is a consequence of the lack of constructiveness of the opposition parties. He believes that Albulena Haxhiu will soon be voted in as Speaker of the Assembly, as will the Kurti 3rd Government.
Kërçeli says that the votes for Albulena Haxhiu for Speaker of the Parliament will be made with the Social Democratic INITIATIVE, since according to him, an agreement between INITIATIVE and LVV is close.
"I think it is a lack of constructiveness of the opposition parties that are refusing to constitute the Assembly and vote for the candidate proposed by LVV for Speaker of the Assembly, Albulena Haxhiu. I believe that the votes for Albulena Haxhiu will be made with the Social Democratic INITIATIVE, because they are already close to an agreement and I think that the Government will be formed," Kërçeli declared for barrel1.
As for the opposition parties, the LVV MP says they are afraid of early elections.
He even stated that some of the opposition parties have declared that they will be willing to vote for the Kurti 3 government.
"They are afraid of early elections, because if the deadline passes, we will go to elections and this impasse that is happening in the Assembly is convenient for them. There are MPs who have declared that after we pass this vote on Haxhiu, they are ready to vote for the Kurti Government. There are MPs from various opposition parties. It will be seen very soon, because those votes will come. We are ready for the Serbian List to vacate the hall on the day when the vote is held in secret ballot. We are ready to make this call as well," he said.
