Snopce: Elections in Gostivar and Vrapčisht should be held by the end of December

Alliance for Albanians MP Halil Snopçe reacted after the announcement of the final election results by the State Election Commission (SEC), emphasizing that the legal deadline for holding repeat elections in the four municipalities where there was no population census began on October 29, and not from the day of the final announcement of the results.
According to him, the 60-day deadline for holding elections in Gostivar, Vrapçisht, Mavrovo Rostushe and Qendër Zhupe started running from this date, so they should be held by the end of December at the latest.
"A distinction must be made between the conclusion of the final announcement of the election results and the conclusion of the elections. The law is clear - the 60-day deadline is calculated from the announcement of the final results, which in this case is October 29."
Therefore, the elections should be held by the end of December," Snopçe emphasized. /Telegraph/
