Scandal after the match in Malisheva: The physiotherapist of the local club attacks the referee Zeqiri

The Competition Commission of the Football Federation of Kosovo has opened disciplinary proceedings against KF Malisheva physiotherapist, Ali Bytyqi, after a serious incident that occurred after the end of the Malisheva - Ferizaj match.

According to the report of the FFK General Manager, Bytyqi punched Edmond Zeqiri, the first assistant to the main referee, Genc Nuza, in the face.

The incident took place immediately after the end of the 20th week match, which was played on Tuesday at the "Liman Gegaj" stadium in Malisheva, where the locals won with a score of 3-2.

According to the FFK announcement, the situation escalated further, after Bytyqi attempted to hit Zeqiri again, this time with a stone, but the intervention of the Malisheva players and coach prevented an even more serious incident.

Club staff intervened by removing him to the club's official premises.

Edmon Zeqiri is one of the first referees with the FIFA logo and often referees in the international arena, while at the beginning of the year this license was renewed for 2025, where he received it from the president of the FFK, Agim Ademi.

This incident has sparked numerous reactions and it is expected that the FFK Disciplinary Committee will take severe measures against the Malisheva physiotherapist, setting a precedent for his behavior. /Telegraph/
