Six Barcelona stars will miss the US tour - the reason is revealed

Barcelona are expected to be star-less in their annual pre-season tour of the United States.

In a move to prioritize the physical and mental well-being of its players, Barcelona has announced that some players will not be joining the team's tour of the US.

The biggest absences are Spain stars Lamine Yamal, Pedri Gonzalez and Ferran Torres, who shone at Euro 2024.

The decision comes after a grueling season that saw the team compete on multiple fronts and the just concluded European Championships.

Additionally, Fermin Lopez, Eric Garcia and Pau Cubarsi will also miss the tournament as they prepare to represent Spain at the 'Paris 2024' Olympic Games.

If Nico Williams joins the club, he will not participate in the US pre-season tour either.

The Catalan side will play their first match on July 30 against Manchester City, then Real Madrid on August 3 in Nee Jersey before finishing their tour with a game against AC Milan on August 6 in Baltimore. /Telegraph/
