President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova, at today's joint session of the National Council for European Integration and the Committee on European Affairs, which reviewed the latest European Commission report on the country, emphasized that for the 16th time, this report, like the previous ones, does not only speak about the evaluated, but also about the evaluator.

According to her, if there is an assessment or competition for political readiness, then we will be champions in implementation, we see the results.
"This is not the time for reforms, unfortunately, because the time resembles a time during the war, or before the war, and this is not the time when reforms can be made.

"But for me, both before and now the EU is a unique political philosophy supported by all actors, the public in the Balkans, the EU is a perspective, the EU is a motive for democratic reforms, the Union stimulates reforms that lead to lasting peace and stability. I am sure that our integration into the EU will put an end to the phenomenon of Balkanization, as a phenomenon of constantly changing borders," she said.

She recalled the statement of former European Commissioner Olli Rehn that we are not a problem for the Union's absorption capacity.

She stressed that the EU is not an innocent player in everything that happened, but rather "did not have a clear strategy, was late in the Balkans, the US was sometimes faster, was not consistent in peaceful association and even today prefers double standards."

She said that the EU sometimes seems to be obsessed with important moments and dates, and now that we hear that this is the key moment, we need to get back on the train./Telegraph/
