Rumors of a romance between Shakira and Lewis Hamilton are growing, the pair are said to have spent time together in Ibiza

Shakira and Lewis Hamilton "have something more than friendship" after the pop star shared a photo in the studio after a "secret date in Ibiza".

Rumors have been circulating online that the "Waka Waka" singer and the F1 star were dating after they were seen together at a number of events in recent months.

The pair are said to be in a "more than friendship" situation, but Jodi Martin, a journalist known to Shakira, has recently tried to clarify the information circulating about the alleged "relationship".

"I would like to deny any information that has appeared in a Catalan newspaper, where they say that Hamilton is tired of Shakira's behavior," she said.

"I can categorically deny this information because I have spoken to Shakira's circle and they confirm that there has always been a beautiful friendship between her and Hamilton. In fact, there was something more than friendship between them", said Martin.

"They both knew very clearly that there was nothing serious and that there was total freedom between them to do whatever they wanted," she added.

Shakira and Hamilton enjoyed three secret dates at her Ibiza villa late last month, according to a source. The Sun.

Paparazzo Sergio Garrido told Spanish TV channel Telecinco that the pair met "three times at the villa in Ibiza" where Shakira was staying earlier this month during a break from the F1 season.

"When the workers left, the singer was left alone with her private escort and received a visit from Hamilton," a source said.

But these are not the only times the suspected couple have enjoyed each other's company.

Shakira watched from the Mercedes team's VIP area as the seven-time champion, 38, took the podium at his home circuit of Silverstone last month.

Rekindling dating rumours, she was also pictured at the Spanish Grand Prix last month cheering on the second-placed Mercedes driver.

He was then snapped with his arm around her waist as they enjoyed cocktails with friends in Barcelona.

In May, Shakira also watched Hamilton race in Miami – her new hometown since moving to the US earlier this year.

Shakira's on-again, off-again date with the F1 star also caused a stir in the same month when they enjoyed dinner together at luxury Miami restaurant Cipriani.

Smiling at each other, Shakira appeared to join 92-time race winner Lewis and pals at his table in a short video shot by a fan.

Meanwhile, her rumored boyfriend Hamilton was spotted enjoying a holiday in Ibiza with 20-year-old tennis player and heiress Jenny Stray Spetalen and Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez.

But Hamilton isn't the only sports star Shakira appears to be getting close to, as she was spotted last month on what appeared to be a date with NBA ace Jimmy Butler.

She and Butler were photographed leaving Novikov Restaurant & Bar in London just two minutes apart.

In her latest romantic outing two weeks ago, eagle-eyed fans spotted the "Hips Don't Lie" singer taking a dip in a river with Latin singer Rauw Alejandro.

She and the singer were pictured bathing in Puerto Rico - with Alejandro fresh off his split from his fiancee, Latin music star Rosalia.

But while ignoring the dating rumours, the pop icon shared a photo on Instagram of herself posing in a recording studio in Los Angeles.

Meanwhile, Shakira's ex Gerard Pique has moved in with his new girlfriend Clara Chia, 24, at the couple's old residence, a source claimed.

The footballer's new home is said to be where he lived with the Colombian star during her first pregnancy.
