During the PlayStation Showcase event, Sony showed, among other things, the gameplay of the upcoming game "Spider-Man 2", featuring Peter Parker and Miles Morales.
Perhaps most notably, Parker is wearing the iconic black Venom costume. For those less familiar, it's a suit that gives Parker a variety of enhanced powers, but it's also a symbiosis that can affect his judgment. How things will play out is still a mystery, but it's clear that the costume will play a big role in the new game.
The preview showed an extended action sequence where the game switches "seamlessly" between controlling Parker and Morales. Much of the gameplay feels familiar, especially when it comes to hand-to-hand combat, but the new suit allows for a lot of new moves.
A wild chase through Queens gives a good representation of the action players can expect as they battle the bad guys. Also, Miles' new gimmick was shown, which is a kind of wing suit that he swims with. This gimmick wasn't part of 2020's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, when players first took control of a younger Spider-Man.
It looks like the game will be bigger than ever before. The first "covered" most of Manhattan, but from this preview it can be concluded that Queens is also part of the game. Also, most of the chase sequence takes place in water.
The original Spider-Man already had a believable and massive version of New York City, and the new game expands that even further.
There is no official release date for the game yet, but it is expected soon. /Telegraph/
