Salah reveals his favorite teammate at Liverpool, surprises with the answer
Liverpool star Mohamed Salah has revealed that Darwin Nunez is his favorite team-mate to play alongside, despite the Uruguayan's inconsistent form since joining the club.
In a fan Q&A, Salah praised Nunez's unique skills and defended him against criticism from some fans.
"A lot of people don't like him, but I like playing with him," Salah initially said.
“I like playing with him in general. Nunez is a versatile player. "Not many people understand his game," the Reds star concluded.
Salah's support for Nunez is a significant boost for the 25-year-old, who has faced competition for a starting spot under manager Arne Slot this season.
Nunez has started just nine games in the Premier League and Champions League, scoring three goals and providing two assists.
In contrast, Salah has been in superb form, leading the Premier League's scoring charts with 13 goals and playing a key role in Liverpool's success in England and Europe.
His contract situation remains unresolved, but an opening bid has been made for the Egyptian, who is keen to extend his time at Anfield. /Telegraph/
