Received a red card on his debut, Dele Alli publishes the conversation with the Milan star after the match

Dele Alli has posted a picture of a conversation he had with Ruben Loftus-Cheek on WhatsApp after receiving a straight red card for a challenge on the Milan midfielder. 

More than two years after making his last official appearance, Alli made his long-awaited return to the pitch on Saturday, replacing Lucas Da Cunha in the 81st minute. 

This was the 28-year-old's first appearance since February 2023, but his debut for Como was ruined after referee Matteo Marchetti sent him off with a red card. 

After a harsh tackle on Loftus-Cheek, Alli was initially shown a yellow card.

Judge Marchetti changed his mind after a VAR review of the action and then got the attention of Kyle Walker, who seemed to beg him to show mercy to Alli. 

On Sunday morning, Alli reacted to his red card against Milan through a post on his social network Instagram. 

"I would announce my return in some way after these two years, I would like it to be with a goal, but it feels good to be back," Alli said. 

And just a few hours later, the former Tottenham midfielder published the conversation he had on WhatsApp with Ruben Loftus-Cheek. 

As you can see from the footage above, Alli admits he tried to step on his sneakers, as the former Chelsea midfielder tells him he was standing on the ground to waste time.Telegraph/
