The winger has grown against Los Blancos in recent El Clasicos and at the age of 17 he leads the Catalan team and represents the Barcelona of the future, writes Marca in their analysis.
Barcelona are still enjoying reaching the Spanish Super Cup after beating Real Madrid in the final in Jeddah this Sunday which they just got through 5-2.
The Catalan team danced with Carlo Ancelotti's confidants and managed to rise from a negative result and a fantastic game, where a youngster of only 17 years: Lamine Yamal, took the reins of the game in hand.
Not only is he one of the most present and overwhelming players for the opposition, but he leads and represents a new generation of Barça players who are going strong.
Lamine Yamal has played in five El Casicos. In the first two, in the 23/24 season, he initially got 14 minutes in the La Liga match and 29 in the Supercup final.
That last season, he also participated in the return game of the 32nd week, but all three games ended in defeat for the Catalans.
But the young Spanish international has looked more comfortable in matches against Real Madrid this season, at the Santiago Bernabeu in La Liga and in the Spanish Super Cup final.
In both, he appeared in the starting lineup. Both ended in great victories for the Catalans: 4-0 and 5-2. The young player was amused. Frame preview. It was decisive. He is elusive and a nuisance for Los Blancos.
But if there is one classic in which he excelled, it was in the last one, in Jeddah last Monday.
Lamine Yamal scored in the 22nd minute to equalize the match, after Kylian Mbappe had scored first.
He took three shots and two were on target: Flick replaced him in the 59th minute when he brought on Dani Olmon shortly after Szczesny was sent off with a straight red card.
Camavinga was one of those who suffered the most while on the field as a right winger.
Lamine Yamal has eight goals and 12 assists in the 23 games he has played in all competitions, so he is not only a starting line-up player for Hansi Flick, but one of the most dangerous players in Barça's attack, and today, the brand of the club.
But he does not only represent Barca's present, but also its future.
He is the leader of the team despite being only 17 years old and he also embodies the new "Culé" era, in which there are other footballers who are already emerging and are expected to be decisive in the next El Clasicos such as: Pau Cubarsí, Marc Casadó, Marc Bernal, Héctor Fort, Gerard Martín, Toni Fernández, Sergi Domínguez /Telegraph/
