EU reaffirms support for SPAK and justice institutions

The European Union Ambassador, Silvio Gonzato, has once again reconfirmed support for justice institutions, as he sits at the same table with the head of SPAK, Altin Dumani, and the head of GJKKO, Erion Bani.

At the roundtable organized by the Center for Studies and Democracy, Gonzato emphasized the importance of trust in the architecture of reform. According to him, independence and accountability are necessary elements for a democratic society, and the EU has consistently committed to supporting SPAK.

"We will continue working with SPAK and justice. We must have faith in the architecture of justice reform. Accountability and independence lie at the core of every democratic society. Independence must be balanced, such as reviewing independence. All actors have their role to play. We have seen results in fighting organized, cyber and financial crime. We will continue to support justice reform," Gonzato declared.
