The Electricity System, Transmission and Market Operator (KOSTT) has reacted to media reports regarding a recently mentioned document, clarifying that it is a working document of an informative nature.
In its explanation to the public, KOSTT emphasizes that the document was drafted within the institution's mandate and aims to support the Energy Regulatory Office (ERO) in exercising its legal responsibilities. According to KOSTT, the material contains relevant data and indicators for the analyzed period, describing the functioning of the cross-border capacity utilization market and the behavior of trading parties.
"The document is of an informative nature and does not contain conclusions about price or market manipulation," says KOSTT's explanation.
The institution has announced that, due to different interpretations of this material in some media, it has deemed it necessary to clarify the nature of the document, in order to accurately and fairly inform public opinion.
KOSTT has also announced that it has made available to ERO all relevant information and data to serve the assessment and investigation process and that it will continue to cooperate with the competent institutions, maintaining the highest standards of transparency and market integrity, in order to protect the public interest and security of energy supply.
