Rare scenes: Violence breaks out in the meeting between Nice and Marseille - Payet confronts opposing fans
The Nice-Marseille soccer match was stopped by the referee after the pitch was invaded by some Nice supporters on Sunday for the match which was played in week three in Ligue 1.
The incident started in the 75th minute when the away player Dimitri Payet threw one of the many plastic bottles towards the home team fans.
Enraged, supporters descended on the pitch to threaten Marseille's number 10, before the referee sent the players back to the dressing room.
Amidst this caused commotion, fists were also scattered between the fans and the players of the opponent.
Both camps of the teams are shown on stage, having physical fights between them as well.
Of course, the French Football Federation will react to this incident, which will fine both clubs. /Telegraph/
