Psychotropic drugs methylenedioxymethamphetamine, mephedrone and marijuana were found during a raid on a house in Gostivar where a student, a citizen of the Republic of Turkey, was staying.

During the raid, carried out by order of the competent prosecutor's office, inspectors of the Investigation Department found a total of six tablets of 0.29 grams of the psychotropic drug methylenedioxymethamphetamine, 1.63 grams of mephedrone, marijuana and ten cannabis seeds, the Customs Directorate announced.

"During the pre-investigation procedure, it was determined that the student received an airmail shipment sent by a natural person from Belgium, registered as a "note". After receiving the shipment, the suspect opened it and removed the drugs from it. At the same time, customs inspectors, by order of the public prosecutor, conducted a raid, during which the drugs were found."

"By order of the public prosecutor, the seized substances were submitted for expertise to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where their chemical composition was confirmed. Against the suspect, the Investigation Department of the Control and Investigation Sector filed a criminal complaint with the Gostivar Public Prosecutor's Office for the criminal offense "Unauthorized production and distribution of narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances and precursors", punishable under Article 215, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code", say the Customs Directorate.
