MP and candidate for MP from the LDK, Anton Quni, has reacted regarding reports of irregularities in the vote counting process at the Counting Center in Prizren, distancing himself from any increase in votes in his name.
In a public statement, Quni emphasized that any increase in votes in his name was done without his knowledge and consent, emphasizing that he did not request, encourage, or assist in any way the deviation of the will of the citizens.
"Any increase in votes in my name was done without my will and knowledge. This artificial increase in votes does not represent my real support nor my human principles," Quni declared.
He assessed that the involvement of his name in these irregularities has caused him great personal and professional harm, describing the case as a criminal operation.
"Through this criminal operation, my personality and political career have been tarnished. The involvement of my name in manipulative schemes is a serious blow to the dignity and credibility that I have built over the years," he stressed.
Quni has requested that justice institutions fully clarify the case, raising several key questions about the motive for the manipulation, the selection of his name, and the responsible persons at the Counting Center.
He has publicly apologized to fellow candidates whose votes may have been diverted in his favor, emphasizing that the competition must be fair and that every vote must go to the candidate who deserved it.
In the end, Quni declared that he is ready to fully cooperate with the Police, the Prosecution and all justice bodies for the full clarification of this case.
"The truth is my only defense," Quni concluded.
