The Democratic League of Kosovo welcomes the ECAP decision which confirms that the Vetëvendosje Movement's efforts to manipulate and delegitimize the electoral process were unfounded and reveal their unwillingness to accept the will of our diaspora.
According to this party, this act proves that their claims were simply an attempt to defend the single party organization of the manipulation of the diaspora vote documented on video.
"The Democratic League of Kosovo strongly condemns the organized campaign of defamation and disinformation by the Vetevendosje Movement, which aims to compromise the electoral process and delegitimize results that do not suit its interests."
"The Democratic League of Kosovo will not tolerate Vetevendosje continuing to use slander and manipulation to subvert the will of citizens and create a false electoral reality."
"All those who spread disinformation with the aim of undermining the integrity of elections and independent institutions will be held legally responsible. LDK will pursue all legal avenues to sue for defamation all those who attempt to illegally and anti-democratically influence the election results," the announcement states.
LDK emphasizes that it will protect the integrity of the elections and the will of each voter, inside and outside Kosovo.
"Vetëvendosje's attempts to usurp the electoral process with manipulation, slander and disinformation will be resolutely challenged. Democracy cannot be held hostage by a party that does not accept the free will of citizens. Above all, LDK thanks the diaspora for their unquestionable and ever-increasing trust and support," it further states.
The Democratic League of Kosovo says it will continue to work to be even closer to our diaspora, around the world, responding to our common aspirations for a developed and integrated Kosovo in Euro-Atlantic institutions. /Telegraph/
