The Central Election Commission today has not certified the Serbian List for the third time in a row for elections, this time for the early elections on December 28.

A similar decision was made for the February 9 and October 12 local elections, which were later overturned by the ECAP.

The LVV member of the CEC, Alban Krasniqi, criticized the ECAP on the FIVE show, saying that it is this body that is failing to do its job.

According to him, the police and the CEC have fulfilled their duties, while judges are subject to political, public pressure and even diplomatic interventions.

He emphasized that in this way the amnesty of the Serbian List is continuing, just as has happened so far in the Prosecutor's Office.

"You have to deal with the decision-making body because it is not doing its job [the ECAP], because those judges are subject to political and perhaps even public pressure from certain exponents and even phone calls from some diplomat to maintain good relations for personal purposes, they continue to amnesty the Serbian List just as it has been amnestied by the Prosecutor's Office until now. The police have done their job, the CEC has done its job at the moment they did not certify it," he stated on the FIVE show.

He emphasized that his responsibility as a sworn official obliges him to decide in accordance with the laws and the Constitution, regardless of possible political or diplomatic pressures.

"Before I address anyone's concerns, I am obliged to respect my duty as a member of the CEC and the oath I took before the president. I am paid by the taxes of the citizens of Kosovo and my main duty is to ensure that democracy in the country is not endangered by organizations that challenge the constitutional order," Krasniqi declared.

He emphasized that criticism and remarks from international friends are taken into account, but decisions should be based solely on the law and information from security institutions.

Krasniqi has expressed concern about the level of democracy which, according to him, "is constantly challenged by the Serbian List".
