The Duchess of Cambridge's shoe collection is the envy of many, that's for sure, but did you know she has a fashion trick when it comes to her shoes?

She buys her heels in two different sizes, a 38.5 and a 39 (or 5.5 and 6 in British sizes), the Telegraph reports. Kate obviously does this for comfort reasons and it seems to vary depending on the brand, her Jimmy Choo 'Georgia' heels and her red 'Vamp' sandals are at 38.5. She even goes down to a size 38 in Rupert Sanderson's designs.

Meanwhile, Kate wears a 39 in Bennett's 'Agata' Sandals, which feature a pointed toe and bow detail at the ankle. It could be that the Duchess chooses to go a size up in her bold heels as she may be more likely to wear them in the warmer months, and no one wants their feet to swell during a royal engagement, don't they?

Kate isn't the only royal to be particular about her shoe size. The Duchess of Sussex is actually thought to wear her favorite heels a whole size up – to avoid embarrassment. Look closely at photos of Meghan at official events, and her shoes often appear too big for her, with a gap in the heels.
