The Chairman of the Organization of War Veterans (OVL UÇK), Hysni Gucati from Skopje, North Macedonia, has announced that the protest will be peaceful and that the citizens of Skopje should not be worried, following the statement of the Prime Minister of North Macedonia, Hristian Mickoski, who had said that the Government in Skopje does not support Saturday's protest in "Skanderbeg" Square, organized by the Associations that emerged from the KLA war.

He had announced that the state would be committed to ensuring that everything passes peacefully and that there are no provocations or incidents. Gucati responded to Mickoski for Kosovapress, saying that "I can sleep well" since the Albanians did not go to destabilize the country.

According to him, over 10 thousand citizens will protest today in Skopje for the release of the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army, who are being held in The Hague. Gucati, in an interview for KosovaPress, announced that Skopje is the last destination of the protests after Tirana, Pristina, The Hague and Strasbourg.

"The final destination is Skopje for Albanians. Today we are expecting a large number of Albanians who live in our lands, we have called for them to come and at the moment the border is very free and there is no problem at all.. The reactions made by the Prime Minister of Skopje, there was no need for fear, Albanians are protesting in the best possible way, they have not come to destabilize the country, I take this worry away, I tell them to sleep soundly that Albanians will protest in the best possible way, there was no need for panic.. I called the border, I asked, the police are Albanians, there will be no lists of veterans at the border who will check them. Those who feel unsafe, I tell you not to come. Based on unofficial information, it is said that over 10 thousand people will be there, including party leaders", said Gucati.

According to him, justice for the KLA leaders who are in The Hague has been perverted, with judges not dealing with what the indictment against them is for. Gucati announced that these protests were held to inform the president of the Special Court, Ekaterina Trendafilova, that the leaders and the KLA have the support of the people, contradicting their words that the KLA has no support.

Otherwise, today at 13:00 PM, a protest will begin at "Skënderbeu" Square in Skopje, in support of the former KLA leaders who are being held in The Hague.
