The President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, met today with the Chairman of the Central Election Commission, Kreshnik Radoniqi.

The Presidency announces that the main topic of this meeting was the progress of the electoral process, on which occasion the President re-emphasized the importance of full commitment to guaranteeing and preserving the integrity of this process, reports Telegrafi.

"Regarding the problems identified in the electronic results reporting platform, Radoniqi explained that the CEC immediately invited security and justice institutions to investigate the problem and that the CEC is awaiting the final report from the security institutions on the identified issues that have affected the functioning of this platform. This report will help in assessing and addressing the identified issues, ensuring full transparency on the reasons that led to this problem," the announcement states.

At the same time, President Osmani was informed by Radoniqi that the CEC is working to guarantee that every vote given to political parties is confirmed during the process of counting the candidates' votes. According to the head of the CEC, this process is being carried out with increased care to ensure full compliance between the votes registered in the system and those in the ballot boxes.

"Since election day, the President has been in constant contact with Mayor Radoniqi and the relevant security institutions and has requested that all necessary measures be taken to protect the electoral process and guarantee full respect for the will of citizens by reconfirming every vote through manual counting, in addition to those made in the electronic system," the announcement continues.

At the meeting, President Osmani stressed the need to coordinate institutional mechanisms to preserve the integrity of the electoral process and the citizens' vote itself.

The parliamentary elections were held on February 9, where according to preliminary results, LVV came first, PDK second and LVV third. /Telegraph/
