Bollywood star Priyanka Chopra has spoken for the first time about speculation about her marriage to musician Nick Jonas.

The celebrity couple married in December 2018 in extravagant Christian and Hindu ceremonies.

However, in November last year, rumors started doing the rounds that their three-year marriage was in crisis when the 39-year-old actress updated her name on social media from Priyanka Chopra Jonas to Priyanka Chopra.

On the February cover of Vanity Fair magazine, Chopra discussed how the constant scrutiny of social media has changed the way she runs her career and personal life.

"It's a very vulnerable feeling, actually, that if I post a picture, everything behind me in that picture is going to be magnified and people are going to speculate," the Matrix Resurrections star said.

"It's just an occupational hazard... Because of the noise of social media, because of the pervasiveness of it in our lives, I think it seems a lot bigger than it is. I think we give it a lot more credence in real life, and I don't think there's a need for that."

The former Miss World, who was introduced to American audiences as FBI recruiter Alex Parrish in the ABC series "Quantico," went on to reveal that she has become more reserved and "introverted" because being in the spotlight "takes away a piece of your soul," she writes. CNN.

"Constantly trying to make sure you say the right thing, do the right thing, dress right, don't make a mistake, don't travel because the whole world is going to be watching," she explained.

Chopra's musician husband, who is part of the pop group Jonas Brothers, said during the interview that the pair have created "boundaries" to provide a level of privacy and "create that little safe haven for ourselves with our friends and family."

On making plans, Chopra said that having a child together is a big wish for the future and that despite their busy schedules, they are not too busy to have a baby. /Telegraph/
