Petreski: The boycott of markets is a type of pressure that is expected to yield results

Blagica Petreski, executive director of "Finance Think", said that the boycott of markets is a type of pressure that is expected to yield results because the price of products is formed based on the impact of demand.

Petreski told "TV24" that freezing prices in certain periods produces short-term effects that lead to a rise or return of product prices.

“The boycott should be a signal to both suppliers and markets because buyers have a mechanism that can affect overall demand, so perhaps the boycott could be targeted at retailers who have been identified as unfair market players rather than being inclusive,” Petreski said.

She said that despite the boycott, we still have some mechanisms that we can use. One of them is the law on unfair trade practices, which she said is probably the best tool to prevent such phenomena./Telegraph/
