Owen picks England starting line-up for Euro 2024, surprises everyone by leaving out big star

Michael Owen has left out one of the most highly rated players in the Premier League this season as he selected his England starting XI for Euro 11.
The former England striker, who scored 40 goals in 89 appearances for the Three Lions, was given the unenviable task of picking a starting line-up for this summer's tournament.
Like many of us watching at home, Owen went with Jordan Pickford in goal before opting for Kyle Walker, Luke Shaw, Harry Maguire and John Stones in the back four.
Declan Rice, another popular choice, also featured in midfield alongside Phil Foden and Jude Bellingham, but it was his forward line that sparked the most debate online.
Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka, who was one of the most prized this season, has been left out by Owen who has put Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon ahead of him.
“I have to find a place for Cole Palmer. I'll put him as my right wing and Anthony Gordon as my left wing. I would also choose Harry Kane in the center", said Owen first.

"Obviously you can change during the tournament. You can bring Sakan on the right, put Palmer or Foden on the left. But I have to find a place for Palmer. I have to find a place for Foden and I really want to play him on the left side."
“This is my wish list. That team can change, it will. But I think it can change with just two or three players. But, personally, I can only imagine Saka's entrance. "People will argue that Gordon shouldn't start, but I like to have pace there," concluded the Englishman. /Telegraph/
