The Ferizaj Regional Police has intensified activities to increase road traffic safety, issuing a significant number of fines and recording dozens of accidents over the past week.
According to the press release, during the period 2–8 February 2026, a total of 1.567 misdemeanor fines were issued, while 21 driver's licenses were suspended against drivers who committed serious traffic violations.
During this period, a total of 35 traffic accidents were recorded, of which 12 were accidents with injuries, where 15 people were injured, as well as 23 accidents with material damage.
The Ferizaj Regional Police has announced that it will continue with increased preventive activities and has called on all drivers to respect traffic rules and show increased caution while driving.
Citizens are also invited to cooperate with the police and report any traffic violations through the nearest police station, the digital application Lajmiro policije and the hotline 192. /Telegrafi/
