The President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, has honored the ambassador of the United States of America in Kosovo, Jeffrey Hovenier, with the order "Dr. Ibrahim Rugova".
The ceremony was marked with numerous congratulations, including from the ambassador of France in Kosovo, Olivier Guerot, who appreciated the contribution of his American counterpart.
"Tonight a great night with my friend and colleague, Ambassador Jeffrey Hovenier, who was decorated by President Vjosa Osmani with the order 'Dr. Ibrahim Rugova'," said Guerot.
He called this award fully deserved for an outstanding ambassador like Hovenier.
"I had the honor to work with him and help Kosovo on the Euro-Atlantic path," wrote Guerot.
According to the Presidency of Kosovo, the order "Dr. Ibrahim Rugova" is awarded to individuals with outstanding contributions to peace, the development of democracy and the promotion of humanity, particularly appreciating their life's work.
