An American man was left confused after receiving a photo of a tool he ordered from AliExpress instead of the actual tool, according to a report in New York Post.
Sylvester Franklin, 68, a Georgia resident, ordered the device from the China-based online store.
A few weeks later in December, when she received the order, Franklin discovered that the company had sent her a printed photo of the item, folded it, and placed it inside the package.
"I paid about $40 - all they gave me was a picture of the tool. I was very upset. I contacted them for a refund immediately," the American said.
Frustrated by the scam, Franklin tried to contact the store, but he reportedly has not received any refund so far.
As the story went viral, social media users shared similar stories, while others mocked Franklin for ordering items from that site. /Telegraph/
