As the Democratic Party has called for a protest following the decision to shut down the social network TikTok, police have cordoned off the capital.
Around 800 forces are on standby, including forces from the Tirana Local Police Directorate, the Eagle patrols and the Criminal Police traffic.
According to information provided by Top Channel, ten groups of the Tirana National Force are also on standby.
The authorities have made two water cannons available, belonging to the National Security Force, Tirana Unit.
Blue uniforms have surrounded the Prime Minister's Office, as the protest is expected to begin at 19:00 PM.
