OnePlus 12 Official: Wireless charging is finally back

OnePlus unveiled the OnePlus 12 phone at an event and the announcement coincides with the company's 10th anniversary.

The OnePlus 12 is one of the most impressive new phones, featuring Qualcomm's most powerful processor, a large curved display, ample storage space, and plenty of memory.

Support for wireless charging returns with the 12, as it was missing from the OnePlus 11 model, and there's also an IP65 certification for water and dust protection.

The OnePlus 12 is adorned with a large curved LTPO AMOLED screen of 6,82 inches and a resolution of 1440 x 3168 pixels, with an adaptive refresh rate of 1 to 120 Hz. The display offers a maximum brightness of 4500 nits for HDR content and 1600 nits during normal use.

On the back of the phone is a Hasselblad-branded camera system, powered by a 50MP main sensor (Sony Lytia 808). The sensor has 1,12 µm pixels and a 24mm f/1,7 equivalent lens, with OIS support.

Along with the main camera, there is also a 64 MP telephoto module with support for 3x optical zoom, as well as a 48 MP ultra-wide camera with IMX581 sensor.

The phone is powered by the current most powerful Qualcomm processor – Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, combined with up to 24GB of RAM and up to 1TB of data storage.

On the software side, the OnePlus 12 in China runs ColorOS 14.0, based on Android 14, which is likely to replace the OxygenOS 14 interface in global markets.

All powered by a 5400mAh battery, with support for 50W wireless charging as well as 10W reverse wireless charging. Adapters up to 100W are supported for standard charging.

This premium phone also supports the latest Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, and also has an IR blaster as well as USB Type-C 3.2 support for faster data transfer.

The OnePlus 12 comes in black, white and emerald green, with a starting price in China of around $610 for the 12/256GB model to around $820 for the 24GB/1TB version.

Right now, the OnePlus 12 is only available in China. The company hasn't said anything about a possible release of the phone for international markets, but we can expect the device at the end of January in the rest of the world. /Telegraph/
