OBRM-PDUKM condemns last night's attack on the "Infomax" studio and any attempt by force to threaten the safety of journalists and media workers.
"Such incidents are unacceptable and pose a threat to fundamental democratic values that must be protected and promoted. Freedom of the media, the right to information and the independent work of journalists are fundamental principles that we as a party have always supported."
Regardless of differences in views or editorial policies, every media outlet must operate in an environment that guarantees safety, dignity, and respect.
"We welcome the swift and professional intervention of the police and expect all competent institutions to fully and consistently implement the procedure," say OBRM-PDUKM.
