NLB Banka, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics, the Faculty of Mathematical and Natural Sciences and the Faculty of Electrical and Computer Engineering of the University of Pristina, has launched today the Data Hackathon program, an initiative dedicated to the development of innovative solutions by students in the field of technology, data analysis and digital transformation.

At the opening of the program, the Chairman of the Board of Directors at NLB Banka, Gem Maloku, addressed the students with an inspiring message: ""Take advantage of this unique opportunity to express your creativity and don't hesitate to come up with bold and innovative ideas. This is your moment to think differently, to experiment and to experience how creativity becomes a solution."

On the other hand, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics, Prof. Driton Balaj, expressed his gratitude for this partnership, emphasizing its importance for the professional training of students: “This collaboration provides our students with real-world experience and a platform to apply their knowledge to impactful projects. We thank NLB Bank for supporting this program.”

The students then presented their initial ideas, showcasing their skills in critical thinking, creativity, and analytical approach. For the next three weeks, they will work intensively on conceiving and building their projects, which will then be evaluated and rewarded.

Data Hackathon 2026 aims to create a true innovation space, where students challenge themselves and each other to bring new ideas that can impact the financial sector and beyond.
