The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Ahmet Ismaili, accompanied by associates, held a meeting with the World Bank Vice President for Europe and Central Asia, Antonella Bassani, within the framework of the 2025 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank in Washington DC.
During the meeting, Governor Ismaili informed Bassani on the reforms undertaken within the framework of the CBK Strategic Plan, the main developments in Kosovo's financial sector and the country's overall economic performance, as well as on the projects being implemented with the support of the World Bank Group.
Special emphasis was placed on discussing projects in the financial sector supported by the World Bank and the International Finance Corporation, including the new financial sector project, which, among other things, supports the CBK and the Deposit Insurance Fund, with a direct contribution to financial stability and digital payments infrastructure. /Telegrafi/
