MY PHILOSOPHY

MY PHILOSOPHY

Poetry by: Jack Micheline
Translated by: Fadil Bajraj

I was born in the way of lost fools
on a sunny winter day
screaming lull up to the sky
with a pair of eyes shining from crutches and anchors
roaming around the cities in vain
among the ruins, the noises, the madhouse, the prison, the prisons
I squirmed, I ran, I hid from the herd
shameless crackhead running to exhaustion
and I found no answer, except in myself
that man is greedy and rotten to the core
as the nations came and went with them the causes
the battles to be fought, the inner hell of doubt
The key was in the sunlight
a pair of thighs
a glance
a look
I chose the path of the rebel
the alleys of the soul
a magic pen on paper
the writer's scribbles
a painter's eye steeped in submarines and colors
a whirling dervish of a sublime dream
to hold the flower high between wars
to kiss the bastard down in the depths of hell
to raise this pile of garbage each molecule
twilight waves blazing the night
a child walking in the mug of cities
and so I hid myself in some dark place
imprisoned on a mountain peak
and I wrote my lonely song
