Mushkolaj: LDK decided to be in opposition, LVV-PDK coalition remains to be seen

Analyst Imer Mushkolaj has stated that the leader of the LDK, Lumir Abdixhiku, is maintaining his firm stance that his party will remain in opposition and does not see any possibility of a coalition with the Vetëvendosje Movement, which won the February 9 elections.

According to Mushkolaj, the LDK's position is "concrete" and it has no interest in cooperating with any party after the elections.

He emphasized that the only possibility remains cooperation between PDK and LVV, but this remains to be seen.

"Whether there can be the will to form an LVV-PDK government remains to be seen," Mushkolaj said on TV Dukagjini.

"The LDK's position is clear. Lumir Abdixhiku has made it known that the LDK wants to remain in opposition. The only alternative so far is for Vetëvendosje to form the government if it reaches the necessary number of deputies."

He added that although PDK initially had red lines towards a coalition with LVV, Bedri Hamza later mentioned some restrictions, leaving the door open for negotiations.

Mushkolaj warned that a potential LVV government would be unstable and short-lived, likely until the election of a new president.

He also said that certifying the elections does not change the political dynamic and that the process of forming institutions may take longer than expected.

"Logically, if the parties had been interested in forming the government as soon as possible, this would have happened immediately after the certification of the elections. With the current situation, I do not expect the issues to be resolved quickly, including the election of the Speaker of the Assembly and the appointment of the Prime Minister-designate," he added.
