Muller: Lewa and I don't stop

Thomas Muller and Robert Lewandowski form one of the most formidable attacking duos in elite European football.

Together, they have scored 40 of Bayern's 59 goals in this Bundesliga season: 23 belong to the Pole, while 17 finishes bear the signature of the German attacker.

But what is the secret to the perfect functioning of the Bavarian attack? The answer is given by Muller himself.

"I really like being next to Lewandowski. We understand each other very well and we both have an incredible instinct to score. In addition, we get a lot of dangerous balls from the wingers. This is what our coach is looking for. Pep knows that when we are both in the area, we create a lot of problems for the opponent. The only limitation for me is the fact that I always have to play behind Lewa."

At the end of the current season, Pep Guardiola will leave Bayern to take charge of Manchester City, a move that the attacker of the German national team does not like at all.

"With Guardiola, we have improved a lot as a team, we have reached a very high level. We as footballers would be very pleased if Pep stayed, but he has other plans. We cannot predict the future and no one can say that with Guardiola they would improve more. However, my wish was to continue working with this coach."
