Miteva: 116 extraordinary inspections based on the Law on Hotel Activities, temporary ban decisions for 10 legal entities

Over the past few days, 116 extraordinary inspections have been carried out under the Law on Hotel Activities. Many steps have been taken. Decisions on temporary bans have been issued for 10 legal entities, cafes and clubs under the Law on Hotel Activities. This concerns the part of the misdemeanor sanction and it is different for everyone, depending on the misdemeanor. This is confirmed in the minutes themselves, while somewhere the ban is 10, 15, 20 or 30 days, announced at today's press conference the Government Spokesperson Maria Miteva.

It has been confirmed that 15 legal entities out of a total of 23 that have active licenses do not meet the minimum technical requirements.

"Two measures will be imposed on them. First, decisions to ban the performance of the activity and a proposal to the Ministry of Economy to obtain a license. Six legal entities that do not have an active license or it has expired, while it has been confirmed that they have operated during the past period, have been given decisions to ban the performance of the activity," said Miteva in the Government.

She informed that 59 fines were issued in the amount of 522 denars and on other grounds from the Law on Hotel Activities. She added that those two grounds are related to non-compliance with certain regulations that had to be verified by the mayor, terrace permits, unmarked State Market Inspectorate (IST), etc.

Miteva warned that in coordination with the Ministry of Interior, the Institute of Tourism and Hospitality will begin these days with inspection supervision for the organization of celebrations and events, with special emphasis on confirming the minimum technical conditions, categorization of restaurants, as well as other provisions from the Law on Hospitality.
