Mickoski: Over 30 capital projects with around two billion denars of investments in education

Education is one of the main priorities of this government. At the moment, we have investment activity of about two billion denars for education projects, more than 30 capital investments, seven completely new school buildings, about twenty are being renovated, sports halls in Struga and Bitola, we started with the sports halls in Kisela Voda and Aerodrom, the plan is to continue the project for the reconstruction of universities, we are starting with the "Mother Teresa" campus, declared Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski this afternoon, answering a question from journalists during a visit to the Studeničani municipality.

"So, education is an important focus of this government and we will continue to do so. At the same time, the inspection supervision of those higher education institutions, as well as other educational institutions, that do not meet the standards will continue. They will be warned. If they do not take any measures to meet the standards, they will have to be closed," the Prime Minister emphasized.

Mickoski said that children should acquire European knowledge and "this can be provided by institutions that respect the laws and offer this type of knowledge transfer."

"So, the education reform is really extensive. This year, something that is not to be boasted about, students received their books on September 1. The same will be true next year. 10-15 years ago we talked about a computer for every child, today we are happy if every child has a book. But, unfortunately, seven years ago we had a tsunami, which even that government of SDSM and DUI could not do, so this government must do all those elementary things", added the Prime Minister.

As part of the "Where the Heart is Home" campaign, organized by the Ministry of Local Self-Government, he participated in laying the cornerstone for the reconstruction of a local road.
