Mass beatings in the Honduran parliament, the interim candidate for the speaker of the parliament is attacked by the deputies of his party
During the swearing-in ceremony of Jorge Calix, the new interim president of the Honduran Congress, a massive brawl broke out on Friday.
While Calix was taking the oath, some MPs from the same party went up to the stage, causing the situation to escalate and lead to a beating, Telegrafi reports.
Constant shouts of "traitors" were heard in the background, not knowing at first who these labels were referring to.
Calix and many of the MPs opposing the new president-elect Xiomara Castro are from the same party – known as Libre. /Telegraph/
