The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy and the Agency for Financial Support in Agriculture and Rural Development (AMFBZHR) today announced the new call for measure 3 of the IPARD 2 program. From tomorrow until the next 45 days, that is until September 6 this year, interested applicants will be able to apply for funds from this measure.
These funds aim to support projects that foresee investments in the processing and production of milk and milk products, meat and meat products, fruits and vegetables, processing of cereals, production of mill products, vegetable products and oils, animal fats and production of summer. Financial support upon individual request is given as non-refundable financial support, i.e. a grant in the amount of 50 percent of the funds of the total eligible investment costs.
The Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Economy, Lupço Nikolovski, in today's press conference informed that the financial support for this call is a total of 5.280.568 euros from the funds of European citizens that will be invested in Macedonian agriculture. He emphasized that together with the investment funds of the beneficiaries who will apply and receive these grants, this means over 10 million euros of new funds for investment and modernization of Macedonian agriculture.
"We are proud that the Republic of North Macedonia has become a leading country in the entire region in terms of the use of IPARD, which can be envied by many other negotiating countries, as well as many countries that are already members of the Union European. Why? Because we have 97 percent utilization of these grants in the IPARD 2 program after the last five years. From about 15 percent in the previous period, we reached 97 percent of utilization in the IPARD 2 program, said Nikollovski.
The minister informed that they have received 97 million euros of non-returnable funds from the European Union for the next IPARD 3 program.
The director of AMFBZHR, Nikica Baçovski, emphasized that all interested applicants will be able to apply with projects for machinery and equipment for production and processing, as well as projects that foresee the installation of photovoltaic panels for the production of energy from personal needs.
It should be noted that from 2017 until today, within the framework of the IPARD 2 program, three public calls for measures to support investments for processing and marketing have been published.
