LAMM: Landslide on the Kicevo-Gostivar road

On the Kicevo - Gostivar road, due to a large landslide near the village of Kolari, as of 7 am today, alternative traffic has been established along a 30-meter-long lane, reports the Information Center of the Macedonian Roads Public Enterprise.
Due to the landslide, traffic on the Kicevo - Gostivar road was completely disrupted from 5:40 in the morning.
LAMM informs that from 05:45 in the morning a ban has been imposed on heavy vehicle and bus traffic on the road between the village of Lisec and Kodra e Diellit.
"Traffic on state roads takes place in winter conditions, on mostly wet roads. Traffic intensity on roads outside urban areas is average. At border crossings on the RMV side there are no longer delays for entering and exiting the country," say LAMM.
It is recommended to adjust the speed of movement, respect the established traffic signs and drive carefully, especially on roads through valleys, river valleys and gorges, where there is a possibility of landslides. This applies especially to the sections Katllanovë – Veles, Mavrovo – Dibër – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kocani – Dellchevo.
The legal obligation for the mandatory possession of winter equipment in vehicles is in force.
