The head of the LVV Parliamentary Group, Mimoza Kusari-Lila, said that today we are debating a regular report of the US State Department.

Kusari-Lila said that the same report was published regularly in previous years, however, it is the first time that it is requested to discuss it in a plenary session with the argument that the findings are dramatic.

"Despite the effort to highlight something that is thought to be for the first time in the report, the report over the years has had contents that have shown fundamental problems in the functioning of justice, and other pillars in relation to the respect of human rights and freedoms" , she said.

She responded to the deputy of PDK, Abelard Tahiri, after he said in the session where the report is being discussed that a third of the ministers are under investigation for corruption and that this situation requires immediate elections.

"Based on the large number of criminal reports, there is no talk of filing indictments because there are none. As for the two punishments by name that are for the minister and the deputy prime minister, we are dealing with the word delay in declaring assets. The DASH report does not make a qualitative division of the actors that AGK says have attacked journalists", said Kusari-Lila.

Kusari-Lila said that a disturbing element remains the safety of women and the prevention of murders.

"Reports constantly refer to low sentences or failures of the judiciary. For this reason vetting should be a priority. Unfortunately, the report has omissions and inaccuracies. The inaccuracy is in the number of women in leadership positions", she said. /Telegraph/
