With the opening of the first chapters for membership in the European Union, Albania has started a new and decisive chapter on its path towards European integration.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, has welcomed this historic achievement.
"We are very happy with this achievement of Albania! Congratulations to the Albanian people and government! I wish you a journey without obstacles, with progress based on meritocracy and the fulfillment of reforms, which benefit the citizens and the country," said Kurti in his reaction.
He added that Kosovo and Albania share the same goal of integration into the European Union, seeing it not only as a membership goal, but also as a common value of democratic societies and citizens' well-being.
"From this journey that Albania is starting today, there is no doubt that Kosovo will also benefit, learning from the experiences that bring us even closer to joint integration in the European Union," concluded Kurti./Telegrafi/
