Telegraph photographer Korab Basha has been announced the winner of the "Corruption Blame" photography competition, organized by the Kosovo Democratic Institute (KDI).

This competition aims to highlight the power of photography as a tool to address and denounce negative phenomena in society, especially corruption and its impact on the lives of citizens.

Basha's photography has attracted the attention of the jury thanks to its creative approach, professionalism, and ability to convey a strong social message through the camera lens.

Korab Basha, a photographer with many years of experience, has been known for his professional approach and continuous contribution to documenting the social reality in the country for years. In addition to his daily work at Telegrafi, he has also held a large number of personal and collective exhibitions, presenting his work both domestically and abroad. His photography is often seen as a combination of art and visual journalism, with a focus on man, space and the narrative that is built through light and shadow.

After accepting the award, Basha dedicated it to his fellow citizens from Gjakova. “I dedicate this award to my fellow citizens of Gjakova, as the photographs are documentation of parts of a city that need improvement, because the citizens of Gjakova deserve better,” said Basha.

He emphasized that his work aims to draw attention to the problems that affect the daily lives of citizens, using art as a tool for awareness and encouragement for change. Through the use of contemporary technology and innovation, he has made a valuable contribution to documenting reality and enriching the visual narrative in the country. /Telegraph/
