The passenger, known only as Chen, accidentally activated the emergency slide as the plane was preparing to take off from an airport in China.

According to him, it was very hot and stuffy inside, so he opened the emergency door for some fresh air, Telegrafi reports.

He was accompanied by the police and after being interrogated, they sentenced him to 15 days of detention.

The airline has apologized to passengers, promising to provide compensation for the delayed journey. /Telegraph/
