IPKO-Agrological Stations also provide data on 18 new agricultural crops

In addition to apple, raspberry, pepper and cherry, now farmers in Kosovo can receive processed information about other agricultural crops, such as: blueberries, apricots, asparagus, cabbage, carrots, corn, watermelon, pumpkin, onion, pear, potato, turnip , tomatoes, grapes, walnuts, wheat, plums and aronia.

All farmers who want to receive information about the crops they cultivate, must register by sending an e-mail to agroproject@ipko.com, which must contain information about the crop and the agricultural region, and must possess or be equipped with IPKO number. This is because information is communicated to farmers through SMS.

Meanwhile, during these days, monitoring by IPKO-Agrarian Stations have shown the risk of the appearance of some diseases in the grape crop. The fluctuation of temperatures in recent days as well as the rainfall have influenced the increase in the possibility of the appearance of diseases in the grape culture.

Vine is a very sensitive crop to diseases and not early intervention with protective preparations against diseases can result in loss of yield and changes in the vegetative mass of the plants.

After moisture and weather changes, favorable conditions are created for the pathogen to develop any disease in plants.

In the graph presented, you can see the level of risk created by the appearance of Plasmopara Viticola in grape cultivars destined for Summer.

During the following days, farmers should be more careful regarding the management of the vineyards, since the change in temperatures is the main cause of the appearance of infections in the grape culture. These diseases negatively affect the health of plants, especially that of the vine. Therefore, consultation with plant protection experts is essential.

"IPKO - Agricultural Stations", is a project initiated and financed by IPKO Telecommunications LLC, which aims to help and serve the farmers of Kosovo in the cultivation of agricultural crops through innovative solutions.

Until now, IPKO has installed 16 agrological stations within the pilot phase, which are currently generating data for Kosovo's farmers. While 1 agrological station has been donated to the University of Pristina, which deals with physical parameters and provides electronic-processed data for agrological conditions, in accordance with the needs of the students of the Faculty of Agriculture. By the end of the project, IPKO aims to establish 100 agrological stations throughout Kosovo, which will be used by all Kosovar farmers. /Telegraph/
