Institutions and TAK: Together against tax evasion for a fairer market

The Kosovo Tax Administration (ATK), led by Director General Mentor Hyseni and Deputy Directors Isen Lipovica and Sami Salihu, held an important meeting with institutional partners, representatives of the business community and professional accounting and auditing organizations.
The purpose of the meeting was to strengthen cooperation between the public and private sectors, with a particular focus on tax education and professional development as the basis for a fairer and more efficient tax administration.
During the meeting, Mr. Hyseni emphasized the need for genuine and sustainable cooperation, moving away from formal coordination towards concrete actions that directly impact the improvement of the tax system and the business climate in the country.

"A well-informed citizen or business is the best contributor to taxes. Educating taxpayers is an investment in the future, as the funds collected through taxes are returned to the public service through fair redistribution," said Hyseni, adding that tax education will have a special priority, especially among young people and during periods of recruitment of new professional staff.
Participants highly appreciated the TAK initiative, emphasizing the importance of regular exchange of information and building a sustainable partnership to combat tax evasion and help build a fair and competitive market.
At the end of the meeting, Director Hyseni emphasized that mutual cooperation is the key to building trust, achieving long-term results, and advancing in the service of the public interest. /Telegrafi/
