Indictment against defendant extradited from Albania for cultivation of 1,592 narcotic plants

The Basic Prosecution Office in Gjakova, Serious Crimes Department, has filed an indictment against the defendant N.Sh., a citizen of the Republic of Albania.
The Special Prosecution's announcement states that: "According to the indictment, among other things, it is stated that the defendant N.Sh., a citizen of the Republic of Albania, from an unconfirmed date until 19.06.2024, in the village of Panorc, Malisheva Municipality, without authorization and in complicity with two other defendants, cultivated hashish plants, cocaine bushes or cannabis plants for the purpose of producing narcotics or psychotropic substances. In such a way that the defendant N.Sh., in collaboration with the defendant O.Sh., a citizen of the Republic of Albania, and a third suspect not identified so far, have planted and cultivated narcotics of the Cannabis Sativa type in three plots. In these three locations, a total of 1592 narcotic plants of the Cannabis Sativa type were found."
The announcement further states that the plots were identified through aerial drone surveillance, while the actions of the defendants, where each of them is clearly observed working these plants, are seen in photos and videos taken from the covert surveillance measure.
"With these actions, the defendant N.Sh., in co-perpetration, committed the criminal offense 'Cultivation of hashish plants, cocaine bushes or cannabis plants' under Article 272 paragraph 1 in conjunction with Article 31 of the Criminal Code. He was arrested with an international arrest warrant and was subsequently extradited from the Republic of Albania to the Republic of Kosovo, and since December 2, 2025, he has been in pre-trial detention."
The prosecutor of the case, when the indictment was filed, proposed to the court that the defendant be found guilty and punished according to the law for the criminal offense he is charged with. /Telegraph/
