A team of researchers tried to provide an answer to this question by ranking the average breast size around the world.
According to statistics, women in Norway topped the scale with an average breast size of C to D.
Luxembourg, Iceland and the US took the next three places, with C-sized breasts, while women in the United Kingdom came fifth, again with a C average.
Meanwhile, women in Vietnam had the smallest breasts according to the researchers' analysis, at a size AA. Researchers from worlddata.info also collected information on the average body mass index (BMI) for women in each country and found that countries with a higher average BMI also had larger breasts.
"Women's breasts are composed primarily of adipose tissue and glands. Breast shape also depends not only on genetics, but also on fat content and connective tissue composition," the researchers said.
When they analyzed why there are such striking differences between breast sizes in different countries, the researchers concluded that it must depend on genetics and climate.
"In particularly hot regions, the body consumes much greater amounts of energy in order to cool itself and keep body functions in balance. Breasts are composed mainly of adipose tissue, i.e. the body's energy reserves. If energy is quickly depleted from the body, it cannot form adipose tissue," they added. /Telegraph/
