Syrians "looted" Bashar al-Assad's residences in Damascus after he fled to Russia.

And the images showed rebels and civilians visiting the territories of his former homes and seeing how the ousted dictator had lived a luxurious life, the Telegraph reports.

Children were seen running around Assad's Al Rawda presidential palace, while some came out carrying furniture.

An armed man was even seen carrying a rifle in the palace.

It is said that a notebook was also found in the kitchen showing a menu "for the lady" and "the chef" including notes on their culinary preferences, as well as recipes.

“Mistress food: She doesn't like spinach – we won't cook it again. Tomorrow we will cook salmon or Latakia fish,” read an entry in the notebook. /Telegraph/
