IKSHPK: Beware, the air in Pristina is not healthy!

The National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (ISHPK) recommends citizens of Pristina to be careful, as the air is unhealthy.

"Watch out for sensitive people! Unhealthy air", the announcement states.

The pollution index tonight is 163 AQI. On January 7, this figure was 107.

As a result, the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo (IKSHPK) has given some recommendations for sensitive people.

They include using public transport more and walking and driving less, reducing the use of solid combustion and cooking at home to reduce emissions.

It is also recommended to reduce going to places with polluted air, in the morning and in the evening, especially for people with chronic cardiovascular and respiratory diseases, children and pregnant women.

"Do not burn used oil, plastic tires, garbage, coal, wet wood for heating. Stay at home and do not open the windows to ventilate the rooms when the pollution is high" - says IKShPK.

The reduction of smoking outside where there is a circulation of people, it is necessary not to smoke in closed spaces and the use of protective masks or covering the nose with a scarf for people who have to go out for their activities - are the other recommendations of the Institute. /Telegraph/
